On March 3, 2011, eleven-year-old Jessie Rees was diagnosed with an inoperable and incurable brain tumor (DIPG). During her courageous fight, Jessie wanted to help other kids fighting cancer that couldn’t leave the hospital, so she created her fun filled JoyJars to brighten their day. Prior to losing her fight to cancer on January 5, 2012, Jessie stuffed and sent over 3,000 JoyJars to kids fighting cancer. As of January 2022, over 385,000 JoyJars have been sent to kids fighting cancer around the world.
